Security Engineer - Infrastructure Protection

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

Conduct and respond to vulnerabilities by analysing, prioritizing, remediating, and reporting on findings. Also, you’ll perform operating system and network hardening (e.g. Windows, Linux), recommend automated and proactive security measures to improve our security posture, and design, build and maintain security tools that support host, network, identity access, runtime applications, and infrastructure.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee and coordinate the Vulnerability, Patch management and system/network hardening activities. Operate CIS Benchmark tools to establish minimum security requirements. Responsible for CIS policy hardening benchmark management, alongside the Infrastructure and IT teams, to own, create, and tune a standard hardening process. Design and deploy and test on the systems via CIS benchmark, run compliance scans against CIS requirements
  • Setup hardened systems as a baseline for installations using CIS and the best practices
  • Conduct compliance checks for customers environment based on CIS benchmarks. Where there are non-existent benchmark, recommend an appropriate baseline for compliance checks on those technologies
  • Provide local advisory and support on the systems hardening and automation tools
  • Implement and manage the local patch management activities to implement the latest patches on Ad-hoc or regular basis; Follow up on critical notifications from the vendors on emergency patches
  • Review any recent vulnerabilities made public to ensure that they addressed appropriately, and coordinate efforts between multiple teams to addressed them in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the company assets are being consistently scanned, patched and the respective vulnerabilities are remediated

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Security, Technology or related
  • Min 3 years of experience on relevant position
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Industry recognized certificates will be advantage (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP)
  • In-depth understanding of various operating systems including OS hardening and CIS benchmark, system vulnerability.
  • Experience with network security, vulnerability management, incident response, CIS Benchmark assessments
  • (SCCM) Patch automation knowledge or any other automation techniques
  • Solid ability to understand vulnerability ratings, criticality and impact
  • Solid Experience with hardening clients, servers and networks services
